Scientists have pinpointed a special part of the brain that appears to produce out-of-body experiences. NPR explains how Dr. Josef Parvizi, a neurology professor, was able to recreate one man’s symptoms of detachment from his body by electronically stimulating an area “hidden in-between the two hemispheres in the back.”
