Went to see the movie #Here (2024) a couple of days ago.
The movie was almost uniformly panned by the critics -- Roger Ebert's critic gave it a 1 out of 5!
The movie stars #TomHanks & #RobinWright who stared together previously 30 years ago in #ForrestGump (1994).
The movie is based on a #GraphicNovel (aka #ComicBook) that recounts the happenings at single location over time. The primary focus of the film is on the life of Richard & Margaret (played by Hanks & Wright) in the house that they share w/Richard's parents after Richard knocks up Margaret & they "have to get married" which is what we boomers did back then under those circumstances & the personal sacrifices that they each had to make doing that.
The critics criticized a lot of things about the film that I don't have the space to go into here but none of those things bothered me & I'd give the movie a 3 out of 5 for the way it makes you consider how time passes & how so much of life takes place w/o notice.
