Das wird schwierig für #Israel ... Die Armee gibt zwar zu gelogen zu haben, bestreitet aber eine gezielte Hinrichtung und eine Vertuschung.

Was nicht gerade zur Glaubwürdigkeit der jetzigen Untersuchung beitragen wird, ist die Tatsache, dass die Armee selbst in Person des Generalstabschefs die Untersuchung über den Vorfall leitet. Wird bzw. kann das objektiv und transparent sein?

While Israel says the creation of the Morag Corridor, which cuts off the southern city of Rafah from the rest of Gaza, is purely operational and meant to constrain Hamas, it’s actually part of a longer-term Israeli strategy to control Gaza from afar, says Robert Geist Pinfold, a lecturer in international security at King’s College London.

“These corridors are named after settlements, and the settlements did not appear there randomly," he said.

An Israeli drone struck a car and bulldozer in southern Lebanon on Sunday, in the latest violation of a ceasefire agreement, Lebanese media said.

NNA said that injuries were reported in the attack that hit near the town of Zibqin in Tyre.

The Israeli army confirmed the attack, claiming that the strike targeted two Hezbollah operatives in the area.

Lebanese authorities reported more than 1,384 Israeli violations of the ceasefire.

Israeli forces have destroyed more than 90 percent of the homes in Rafah governorate – more than 20,000 buildings containing more than 50,000 housing units – as well as destroying 22 of the 24 water wells, more than 85 percent of the sewage network, and eight schools and educational institutions. 12 medical centres are now completely out of service with the maternity hospital and the Indonesian Hospital destroyed.

On 23 March, Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers gunned down 15 emergency workers. As reported at the time, those killed included “eight Palestinian medics… along with six Civil Defence first responders and a UN staff member“.

The BBC, meanwhile, has published an article which tacitly accepts the IDF argument – namely that its soldiers simply “made mistakes”, and not that they deliberately massacred a van full of people.

More than 500 illegal Israeli settlers forced their way into the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday, Palestinian authorities said.

The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that the settlers entered the flashpoint site under heavy protection from Israeli forces.

Witnesses said that Israeli police personnel were seen stationed inside the compound during the settler intrusion.
