Next I run #syncthing on my laptop, and on my #homelab #intelN100 #n100 mini pc / server that runs in the cupboard and is very #lowpower I run #proxmox and this also has a #samba share which allows any other network devices to see the media.
With syncthing running, I always have two copies of the media, but for backup I was using #rclone to send an encrypted copy to #googledrive - which I am in the process of switching over to #nextcloud running on #hetzner

I just migrated my first repository from github to my own forgejo instance on my new dedicated Hetzner server. Wow, that's liberating! A few more repositories will follow today!

Den Ruf den #hetzner früher hatte, gilt heute für #ovh. Eine unglaubliche Dreckschleuder mit schlecht funktionierenden Abuse Prozessen. Aber was erwartet man von einer Bude die #rechenzentren aus Holz baut…
Bis die das behoben haben, ist diese ASN gesperrt und hat keinen Zugriff mehr. Sorry an alle, die dort #rss Aggregatoren betreiben - ist nur temporär.
Leider musste ich feststellen, dass das Geoblocking-Feature der #Nextcloud-App bei mir nicht wie erwartet funktioniert. Meine Nextcloud läuft bei #Hetzner. Schade, dass es aktuell nicht klappt.

#nextcloud bei #hetzner kann ich sehr empfehlen. Die Einrichtung habe ich als Laie auch gut hinbekommen...
I've gone back to nextcloud on #hetzner #StorageShare Its just such a nice cheap and stable option, much easier than #selfhosting for me, and probably much cheaper when you consider power use + backups!
Die Cloud hab ich nun bei #Hetzner bestellt. Basierend auf der #Nextcloud. Das kleinste Angebot mit 1 TB Speicher...weiß garnicht wohin mit dem ganzen Platz 
Einbindung in das NAS folgt dann auch noch demnächst.
iOS, MacOS muss ich schauen was da so geht, Linux ist ja eh kein Thema.
Happy to see Fedora has implemented CoreOS support for Hetzner. Guess the ball’s in Hetzner’s court now: would be great to see it as one of the natively-supported operating systems with rapid deploy (under 10 seconds deployment).

It's the first release of Fedora Linux, that will promote the KDE desktop to full "Edition" Status (Same as the Gnome Desktop variant).
I've already been running F42 KDE edition on my daily devices and didn't envounter any issues so far 
Also running some VServers with Fedora CoreOS 42 on Hetzner Cloud, which is also a joy to work with :-)

Ah. Interessante Ergebnisse meiner Nachfragen. Bei #Hetzner bedeutet die Vertriebler-Aussage "...eine öffentliche IPv6-Adresse" nach Auskunft des Supports in Tekkie-Sprech: ein öffentliches /64er Subnetz.
Als mathematisch vorgeplagter Physiker kann ich nicht umhin anzumerken: dazwischen liegt ein Faktor von 18.446.744.073.709.551.616.

Just finished transitioning a small #EU business from #AWS to #Hetzner. 5 medium sized servers, one load balancer, about 20 TB of backend traffic a month and then a CDN. If you are on the fence about doing it, it’s really pretty easy. Hetzner has good Terraform coverage.
The part I was a little bit surprised by was the cost difference. Hosted inside the EU, Hetzner is coming in about 60% cheaper than AWS.
