I've not experience enough to love <a href="https://mas.to/tags/sailing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#sailing</a> in a massive wind. We sail up and down the Normandy and Brittany coasts - summer holiday stuff mostly. Sometimes if I need to get away I will hop solo over to Grainville or Carteret. But in the little boat we had there was still plenty of potential for incidents. Got demasted on the way into Paimpol once; sailed home with a big leak from St Malo another time. Big old force ? came up another throwing waves right over the boat.
