Vexatious Vegetable<p>Good in principle: teasing out the corner cases of your laws to see where they might fail or produce unwanted side effects.</p><p>Hard pass in modern times: teasing out the corner cases of which sexual improprieties deserve which forms of capital punishment. My tepid take: not all of them are actually improprieties, and while the heinous ones do deserve punishment, it must not be capital.</p><p>This chapter of <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/Talmud" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Talmud</span></a> can’t end soon enough.</p>
