Any Leica M10 / M11 Monochrom owners out there?
How do you like it? Do you use it regularly?
@coffeegeek Yes. It’s a great camera (M10M).
@coffeegeek I have the Q2 Monochrom and it's incredible. I don't use it enough right now, but when I do it captures gorgeous shots. And it's SO light. I also have the M11 (not monochrom) and when I am patient with it, it's gorgeous.
@jackamick @coffeegeek oh yea i have the M10 and M11m, and had the M10m before it. i'm a huge fan, happy to answer any questions you have!
@manolo @jackamick I've got a camera in my collection - a Nikon SP Limited Edition (serial #1630) that includes the everready case, and a special W-Nikkor 35mm f1.8 with the matching serial number, that I'm wondering is a worthy trade subject for a M10m (which are similar prices on the used market). Trying to figure out the best way to go about that.
@coffeegeek @jackamick can’t speak about the trade since i don’t know anything about that nikon…but if you like the rangefinder format and love black and white, the M10m/M11m are both incredible. while i often still have a color camera on my backpack, it just stays there 99% of the time and i just use the monochrom. they have insane low light performance, and quality of the files is great. and a big plus for me is easier editing vs color haha
@coffeegeek M10, not Monochrome.
Love it.
But, apart from the cost, bear in mind it is a heavy beast. Especially when paired with a chrome Summicron ASPH. My partner picked it up when we were travelling and exclaimed: ‘OMG, how do you wear that all day?’
The friend I bought it from, upgraded to the M11. She says she misses the M10 and prefers it in some ways. Her M11 has been in for warranty work several times.
@josh @coffeegeek only have a film Leica. lots of people I’ve met with the M10 seem to love it
M11M, I love it and always use it when I don't want to shoot in color, when I don't want to shoot analog with the MP or the IIIf, or when the M240P is too heavy for me ;-)
