There are so many great apps and services in the fediverse. To gain a better understanding of these I spoke with @atomicpoet for the latest episode of DotSocial. As many of you already know, Chris is a long time fediverse enthusiast with a lot of insight into the past, present and future of the social web.

A couple of notes:
$20/month for self-hosting may seem unattainable for many. I host my own Friendica, Pixelfed AND GoToSocial instances on a VPS that costs me $5/month.
Re: topics - I agree with Chris and I think that Sharkey antennas (on any of the *key projects) solve this issue. I explained it here: https://blog.elenarossini.com/sharkey-a-fediverse-project-that-is-beautiful-inside-out/
