Last week The Wall Street Journal reported that Elon Musk would be donating $45 million to support Donald Trump. This week, Musk says that's not true.
In an interview with Jordan Peterson, he said: “I am not donating $45 million a month to Trump,” adding that he is not part of the MAGA movement and claiming, I don't subscribe to a cult of personality." In the same conversation, he told Peterson the reason he vowed to "destroy the woke mind virus" was that his daughter had received gender-affirming care during the pandemic.

@NewsDesk @quartz @business-news-quartz His daughter is happy with her gender affirming care. Maybe instead of trying to destroy the "mind virus" of being aware of systemic issues, he could try accepting his daughter and supporting her in living her life as she sees fit.
It's super ironic that he loves The Culture series by Ian M Banks given its fluid take on gender and commentary on patriarchy.
