The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is laying off over 1,000 more employees.

@USAToday reports: "The agency, which includes the National Weather Service, forecasts weather, monitors oceanic and atmospheric conditions and conducts deep-sea exploration, among other responsibilities."
