@ScienceDesk That is completely unexpected. I would never have thought there were large salt deposits present on Mercury, particularly in the form of salt glaciers. I guess that isn't terribly surprising, though. I could imagine that as close as Mercury is to the Sun, there could be pockets of Mercury's interior that are at a temperature at which large carbon chains can form in a liquid solution.
