Never quite clicked with the Bastl MIDI Looper before. I've had it a couple of years and it's incidental features, such as this sort of ambient humanise have kept it around the studio, but today it has really shone. I suspect some of the pad synths will need to be tactically assigned to different MIDI channels to get the most out of this guy.

Sequencing & mod through Pachinko. #2HP Kick, #Bastl Skis w/radio for basic percussions. Added an RD-6 to augment the drums. For about an hour today I thought that maybe the Bastl MIDI Looper didn't fit my workflow. And then I realised that I don't have a workflow. Never have.

In fact if I ever discover that I have a workflow, I will have it taken outside and shot.

What if there was a #modular #synth #day #library that had all the popular modules from the usual suspects: #Doepfer, #EricaSynths, #Bastl, #Intellijel, #Makenoise, #Noiseengineering, #Endorphines etc. Artists could rent these for a day to use in the local #studio #space of the library. Artists could bring in their own racks and synths but no modules would leave the building. After midnight all the modules would come back into the main pool to be ready for the new artist next morning.
