#Doorsday's child has far to go ... all the way to #Córdoba in fact.

This is a lovely old #door from the Mosque-Cathedral or #Mezquita with details of #MoorishArchitecture. In fact, it's one of the oldest surviving gates of the former mosque! The door's decoration dates back to 855 when it was known as Bab al-Wuzara ("Viziers' Gate"). Lots of Al-Andalus state officials used to enter the mosque here. The Great Mosque of Córdoba was converted into a Catholic #cathedral in the 13th century. It's a World Heritage Site since 1984.

So jumping back to 2011, with this panorama which I've posted here before but in another projection format (it was little planet). This one here is a derived form of "little planet" (I like to call it "wide view"). The panorama was shot inside the Grand Mosque of Kuwait in 2011 as part of some workshop back then. One good thing about workshops (for me) is that I can get to see and take pictures in places that I usually can't get in or even think of getting a permission to do so, like this one - the rest of workshops (usually) are just repeated info that I've taught myself long time ago already. And Blessed Friday!
