I know I posted this a few days ago, but I do so again for a couple of reasons.
In the first place, this is one of those B sides that I would have chosen as a title track.* I only wish it had been longer.
Secondly, I love the choreography. The power and elegance of those sweeping arm movements combined with little touches like the spinning hand to accompany the siren sound
have made this such a joy to watch.
It's also been a pleasure seeing and hearing Mashiro and Yeseo, even though I don't care for the styling; Mashiro's outfit incorporates three of my kpop outfit pet hates: the cap, the high cut onepiece/leotard/ swimsuit worn under pants, and those pants being the dreaded three quarter length cargo pants.
Never mind though, because Mashiro's singing and dancing here make up for everything.
*B sides that should have been A sides - a possible theme for #KpopMonday @Erzbet ? Or has it already been done?

This stage was their music show debut. Although they had performed both "YoYo" and "UhUh" at a media show case prior to this stage, they look and sound better here.
The black and white outfits together with the silver charms, seen also at the end of the MV, provide that "unity without uniformity" look that I love so much. I was also pleased to see a break from athleisure, school uniforms, and techwear. The choreo delighted me too.
On the other hand, I was disappointed that they did not appear on Inkigayo today. That absence reminds me that they do not come from one of the Big Four or even one of the midtier agencies like Starship or Cube .
My worry is that without this type of agency support, they will languish in nugudom.
Some kpop fans have likened them to GWSN. That could well be accurate, both musically and conceptually, but let us hope that any similarity ends as far as business and marketing is concerned; that group had a nice debut with '"Puzzle Moon" but then struggled on without gaining enough support to gain popular success. After five years, they fizzled out.
I am just praying that there is enough demand for dreamy, girly synthpop to make RESCENE commercially viable.
