25 years ago, while living & working in NYC, THIS was in heavy rotation with albums by Mogwai and Radiohead;
a steady diet of this, Kid A, and Come On Die Young, over and over again, over a period of about three months.
Long subway rides from Astoria and Brooklyn to my job in Times Square, to assure that I’d be calm upon arrival.

#ClemBurke, whose versatile drumming propelled the iconic rock group #Blondie during its decades performing everything from #NewWave #punk to #disco-infused tunes, has died. He was 70.
The band said in a statement on its website Monday that he died from #cancer but no additional details were provided.

A compilation that was only released in Canada, & a perfect Saturday record.
“Underpass” will forever be Foxx’s signature song, but many other great cuts here, like “Mr. No”, “Miles Away” “Metal Beat” which is also the label that ONLY released John Foxx records, owned by Virgin.
John Foxx is criminally underrated. ULTRAVOX are clearly great, but his solo stuff deserves more praise.

From a time it was difficult for female artists to truly find a voice and many stars were backed by a lot of (male) instrumentalists, producers, and lyricists, it's refreshing to come across this oft-overlooked Canadian singer, multi-intrumentalist, and lyricist pumping out high quality #artrock, boasting a powerful, soaring voice that made my neigbour once ask to turn the music down because it pierced through the walls.
