#Pinterest UPDATE No2: I've been approved for their Content Claiming Portal and spent the last ~2 hours submitting claims for over 760 individual images.
It's pretty easy to use (drag & drop upload in batches of 50). I wish all social media platforms had something like it!
We'll see how fast the duplicates get taken down.

Around the 600th mark the system started glitching & either no claims were submitted, or only a few out of 50 were. I'll try again tomorrow.

They've removed all the pins I requested, and also let me know they have a Content Claiming Portal, which enables artists to find copies of their copyrighted work on Pinterest ⚠
I had no idea this feature existed! Sounds a whole lot easier than trying to hunt down all the offending pins manually.

If you want to request for your artwork to be removed from Pinterest so it can't be used to train their AI, feel free to copy & adapt this text of the email I've sent to them: docs.google.com/document/d/1L8

They acknowledged my request and asked for confirmation that I really, really want all the pinned images deleted. I'm still waiting for the pins to be actually gone.

The process may be faster if you have an account with claimed domains, but it's not required.

Still Mad About CD Prices

dear #DuckDuckGo or other search engine: I want a little button next to every #search result that lets me exclude it from all search results for me, personally, forever. With an option to block the entire domain.

I'm definitely looking at #pinterest but there's just a lot of #AI slop out there. Tons of AI-generated websites. Even without the AI search "helper" things, I get a lot of shit that is just really low quality.

I don't think I see this witih DDG (there is a "give feedback" button with unclear effects on my personal search experience) and I'm not familiar with many other search engines now (except google and no). But if there's something out there that already has this functionality, I'll be happy to check it out and happy for the referral.
