Another book edge painting foray! This one was a lot of fun, but I did learn that it is possible for the gouache to be too thick. Some of it flaked off when I went to go break part the pages and trying to touch it up was NOT fun

This author is an insta-buy-and-read for me. Holton must love gag anime because that’s how this book reads; I’m just so smitten with all her works! I absolutely adored this story, and the travels of Beth and Devon were so precious. It was so pure and yet purely Victorian. But now I wonder if Gabriel survived his cousin’s antics!
Meticulous and ridiculous and hilarious, just please: READ THIS BOOK.

This was a super twisty thriller. The formatting counting down to the FMC birthday increased my anxiety SO MUCH. Every time something bad happened, I kept wondering how things could get worse and they did The book had a classic Sarah Pinborough twist (if you have read Behind Her Eyes or seen the Netflix show then you know what I’m talking about)SPEAKING OF
The epilogue tied this book to that book and I am HERE for it!
Off to go see if there’s other books that feature them!

The quality of @standardebooks is outstanding. Highly recommend if you're at all into ebooks.
SUPER brutal cat and mouse thriller involving a serial killer and a medical examiner. I loved the reveal at about 70%. I appreciated the Hannibal references bc this book made me think of Silence of the Lambs The book was pretty short, (on audio it was only about six hours) so I finished in a day. PSA- this ends on a cliffhanger!

Just ran into a brutal #UI / #UX problem in LibreOffice Calc, on a Debian bookworm system, fully up to date.
1. Decide to print spreadsheet
2. Open print dialog
3. Preview is in the left pane, options in the right.
4. Scroll down in the options pane to find an option near the bottom.
5. Change setting, or not.
6. Scroll back up to the top of the options pane, using the pointing device vertical scroll wheel.
7. If the "number of copies" scrollbox happens to pass under the mouse pointer, it will rapidly increase the number of copies. It's not particularly obvious this is happening; it's easy to miss the value is changing.
8. Move the mouse pointer slightly up and scrolling the options pane continues.
9. Click "print".
Voila! 23 copies of what you wanted to print a single copy of.
I actually ran into this while trying to debug a totally different UI / UX bug 
March wrap up for reading. Assassin's Creed Shadows has taken up a lot of my time. The daily reading chart portion is totally inaccurate. I don't track what I read each day, only starts and finishes.

The breath rushed out of Xander’s lungs. His body began to shake violently. Suddenly, his back arched off the earthen floor and a long, blood-curdling scream ripped out of his body until blood welled in his mouth. Eirien sobbed bitterly.
The enraged man thrashed his body to the side. His hands reached and pulled, one at a time, as he dragged himself toward the door.
"No, Xander!" came Eirien’s cry.
She pulled at him in an attempt to keep him away from the door and away from them, but in a flash, Pelior loomed in the doorway. His eyes read the situation quickly and with too much ease he snatched up Eirien.
"No," she screamed, "Noooo!"
"That's enough," Pelior said decisively in an unfeeling way.
He began carrying the squirming and kicking woman toward the forest.
"Xander!"
The gaunt man with blood rolling down his chin growled and yelled. Pelior adjusted Eirien in his grasp; he turned her around to face him and slung her over his shoulder as if she were a mere pelt. Eirien kicked and fought but it did nothing. »
