A6: I'll just add that the use of the portal weapon at the climax was ABSURD!
The idea that the Shrike could open a portal right in front of the torpedoes and then open another right behind the Titan, while the Titan is presumably engaged in evasive action, such that the torpedoes would hit is just so ridiculous!
Aside from that though, the Titan was still hopelessly outmatched, so I'm not sure what Picard was thinking.
