Sadie is possibly the WORST character to be introduced in #TheOC. Possibly because this season seems to be jam packed with new characters that I'm just most on why she was even introduced in the first place other than break Ryan and Marissa up.

Which is to say, in the early oughts I started watching the #WB/ #CW TV teen soap operas because of the music they featured - someone on staff made some really nice under-the-radar picks for their soundtracks, like this track from South’s debut album, which I discovered while watching #TheOC.

South was a 3-member #BritPop-ish band. I always think of them as kind of #shoegaze even though their walls of haze are generated with more #jangly #acoustic than electric guitars, and more echo effects than feedback; I think it’s their dreamy impressionistic sound, with a harder bite than fey #DreamPop.
