I overheard a conversation about Linux running on Windows. I looked up the details later, it’s called Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and it’s installed by default on Windows 11. And it can do lots of cool stuff like interact with the Windows environment from the Linux command line, as well as many other apparently very powerful things that currently make absolutely no sense to me. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/about

in the center of a black 800x800 window, L1 is a line attached to the center point on one end.. a blue dot is the joint and mass1 M1(end of line 1)attached to it is L2 and mass2 M2;
at the M2 position a blue path is traced and is fading to black over its length which makes a pretty pattern

same thing, just different parameters , using R, resets the simulation..

the pattern is more circular, drawn by the path that is traced with the double pendulum

#YIL @lru_cache is a nice tool but it might be tricky to combine with tests. More of a surprise when a test suite passes with pytest-xdist but without it it fails. #pytest #python @brianokken
