Florida's new COVID-19 booster guidance is straight-up misinformation.
From CBS News: "In what has become a pattern of spreading vaccine misinformation, the Florida health department is telling older Floridians and others at highest risk from COVID-19 to avoid most booster shots, saying they are potentially dangerous. Clinicians and scientists denounced the message as politically fueled scaremongering that also weakens efforts to protect against diseases like measles and whooping cough."

Floridians who listen to Ladapo are as bad, and in as much danger, as those who listen to Trump.
@NewsDesk @fact-check-ElectionCentral The DeSantis regime is damn doing all it can to attract charges of criminally negligent if not intentional manslaughter by posing as the southern "heroes" (competing with Abbott's Texas junta) standing their ground against the Yankee government in D.C., while DeSantis's neo-Confederate gang — as ruthless as the real Confederate bandits — is in fact again putting the lives of Florida's civilian population on the line.

Red states have consistently lower vaccination compliance and higher death rates. According to a story I read the other day there are 100,000 fewer republicans voting this year.

Now that the shots are actually available, I can say with certainty that Floridians are definitely being discouraged.
Someone I know informed me today that she called to schedule getting a shot from a nearby rural Walmart pharmacy. She's used it for every Covid shot offered since it all started. She was told that unless she's already hack coughing and sick, she really doesn't need it. They may have changed their msg., but not the intent.

... she was not refused an appointment, but there's little doubt that providers in Florida are pushing people away with false information.
