Al Gore was mocked by South Park during two years with the ManBearPig analogy.

Shortly after An Inconvenient Truth came out, Gore was portrayed as a weirdo warning everyone about the coming of this cataclysmic creature which however is depicted made-up.

It wasn’t until many years later that the creators reconsidered and created an episode in which the ManBearPig actually appears. But it was far from an honest apology.
