#ThursDeath for this week is Columbia, South Carolina's IMPEST. They released a demo just a little over a year ago, and these three tracks are chock full of grody riffs and some great dynamics. Psyched to see what else these guys do, they're tight and have an excellent old school type sound.

Caustic Euphony is a very odd prog/death metal project with a blackened death metal style. The riffs are neither black metal or death metal but fit between both genres.... The vocals are growls and cleans mixed together and there is proggy elements on some songs only, bringing in folk music, black metal keyboards and jazz drumming on those songs only...
