Im Juli 1974 veröffentlichte #EricClapton #461OceanBoulevard, benannt nach dem Strandhaus in Florida, wo er während der Aufnahmen lebte. Das Album erreichte Platz 1 der US-Charts. Die Single #IShotTheSheriff wurde Claptons einziger US-Nummer-1-Hit. Interessant: Clapton wollte den Bob Marley-Song zunächst gar nicht aufnehmen, ließ sich aber von seiner Band überzeugen – eine Entscheidung, die seine Karriere prägte.

Money raised from BandAid40 will continue to fund similar activities in Ethiopia and the surrounding countries.
