"Haben sich die Tech-Bosse verzockt?" Ja, das haben sie sicher, denn sie haben nicht mit dem Zoll-Irrsinn gerechnet, den #Trump entfesselt hat. Und jetzt kostet es sie Geld. Da reiben sie sich verdutzt und besorgt die Äuglein.

Mein Mitleid hält sich in ganz engen Grenzen. Denn die Tech-Bosse haben Trumps Wahlkampf finanziert und wussten genau, wen sie da hofieren.

Tesla is one of the "Magnificent Seven" tech companies which have been keeping the stock market afloat, but Elon Musk's fascist politics seem to be threatening to tank it, with European sales dropping 45% this year versus January 2024 even as overall EV sales grow. A competing, Chinese EV manufacturer, BYD, is already overtaking it.

"Last month, activists projected an image of a controversial gesture the Tesla CEO made at an event marking President Donald Trump's inauguration, which some interpreted as a fascist salute, onto the company's Berlin factory. A Tesla showroom in the Netherlands was also vandalized with spray-painted swastikas, Politico reported.

"Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

Musk also recently posted on Twitter a statement that people should consider surviving an apocalypse an "increasingly significant consideration," apparently forgetting that he is controlling the US executive through the bought-and-paid-for, openly corrupt Trump administration. (Also, the character of Mad Max is not a warlord but a fighter against warlords, but try explaining literally anything to that fucking moron.)

Tesla's European buyers turn away? Sales slide amid Musk's political controversy.

According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, Tesla sold 9,945 cars in Europe in January, down 45% from the same period last year, even as the overall EV sales rose by 37%.

In 2024, Tesla's car sales fell 13% across the EU, with the largest drop seen in Germany, plummeting 41%.
