Am not in the least bit religious. A massive reason for my own lack of faith is having watched both of my children suffer from the pain of cancer. So it will come as no surprise that I am very suspicious of those who like to wave religion in our faces. Why for example do so many of our politicians make such a big play of their faith, making sure the cameras follow them?

A fabulous work by Angus Olsen which sums up the reality of life for many children who have cancer. Unable to go outside due to pain or the risk of infection and aware that their end is coming while other children get on with living. Imagine the thoughts in a child's head going through this. I lost my own daughter to cancer 9 years ago and the pain and memories never go away. Each September, the Childhood Cancer Community comes together to try and raise awareness.

I'm posting this everywhere I can think of. My BIL hasn't worked since all of this started, and my amazing niece is at home on hospice, waiting to die on her terms.

I can't even begin to explain how proud I am of her for the choice. Losing her is going to be devastating, as she is also their rainbow baby.

Please donate if you want or share otherwise. After she passes will be the burden of having her cremated.
